19.12 

Keeping of Animals

(a)     No person shall keep, harbor, or maintain any horses, mules, cattle, sheep, goats, swine, rabbits, chickens, geese, pigeons, or other fowl or animals, except dogs and cats in a developed subdivision, a parcel of land of less than three acres, or any designated zoning except “A-1" Agriculture District..  All such animals shall be kept within a completely enclosed structure or within a separate fenced area.  Such enclosed structure or fenced area shall be located no closer than one hundred feet from the inhabited dwelling of any other person.

Do I need a permit for a fence?

Yes, all fences need to comply with Chapter 19.016 of the Marion Township Resolution.

How does the Township deal with "problem properties"?

Marion Township adheres to the Ohio Revised Code (ORC) for Nuisance Structures (505.86), Vegetation, Garbage, Refuse (505.87), and Junk Motor Vehicles (505.871).
